Falling into the manhole, the narrow manhole is not conducive to using tools to quickly clean it.
Therefore, the damaged manhole cover should be replaced in time. So we should consider an important issue. When you install a new manhole, pay attention to the debris of cement and other bricks falling into the manhole.
Before installing the manhole cover and derrick, determine the load-bearing manhole cover and size you need.
When replacing the manhole cover, we recommend not to use the old frame, and the material around the old derrick should be removed. Insert the new derrick. The manhole frame is subject to wear and tear like the manhole. Before dismantling, it is recommended to lay some cloth or board inside the well to catch the falling debris. After the installation is complete, the debris can be easily and quickly removed.
Generally, manholes are relatively heavy, so two people should cooperate during disassembly to prevent injuries during disassembly and handling. When disassembling, you first need to understand the width of the line and the base under the road. If it is a cement or asphalt pavement, the original pavement needs to be broken and the base removed. The scope of removal needs to ensure that the original base can be removed and the new base can be installed. Then use clutching to cut the pavement to break away the cement or asphalt on the upper part of the base. When breaking, the well cover should be covered to ensure that the operator does not fall into the well and use tools safely.
Need to measure the height of the covering or brick，determine the reserved depth to ensure that the manhole cover is flush with the road surface when the installation is completed.
Clean the dirt on the frame seating.
Lay sealing concrete onto the seating area, thickness on less than 40mm. If the base floor is brick, it should be moistened with water in advance.
Put the frame onto concrete.
Strike with a mallet to make the frame level. Adjust the frame to the same level as the ground. The adjustment should be carried out by downward pressure on the frame with a wooden hammer, to ensure the sealing concrete spreads evenly and firmly onto the frame sealing area. According to the degree of inclination of the road, use a wedge, hook, or another system that can maintain stability in the next stage to level it.
Clean the overflow concrete at the edge of the inside opening, where the frame seating.
Fit the cover onto the frame.
Fill concrete into the gap between the frame and dug a hole, the same level after the concrete is well filled.
After the concrete final set, clean the installation site and maintain with no less than 7days before using.
During installation, the base must be kept flat, and the manhole cover frame should be on the ground as a whole, and be stable and not loose.
The adjustment should be carried out by downward pressure on the frame with a wooden hammer, to ensure the sealing concrete spreads evenly and firmly onto the frame sealing area.
If there are screw holes, use expansion bolts to fix the inspection well cover frame.
After covering the manhole cover, you need to pay attention when using concrete or asphalt to seal the surroundings. Concrete or asphalt cannot stick to the gaps of the manhole cover or directly cover part of the manhole cover. As a result, the manhole cover cannot be lifted later.
